Monotone
Well we just got back from seeing the Corpse Bride and while it was fun it was hardly a classic. I think Charlie & The Choc... was more Tim Burtonesque really.
Been to a few gigs recently, Trachtenbergs, Roddy Frame & Nine Black alps - all good but all for different reasons.
And I have four gigs in 5 days in mid november - very reminiscent of the old days. I have to admit I'm getting fed up of live music now, it's all the same. There are a few bands guarenteed to wow (British Sea Power, Electric Eel Shock, Arab Strap...) but on the whole most people are just doing the same old thing. I guess music being popular means people don't have to try as hard to fill venues. Those that do push the limits (like Editors) seem to be reaping the rewards though which is nice.
Bowling with work tomorrow - time to get out the old competative streak again.
